Description
Notoriously, law firms are a one-stop shop for cybercriminals because, unlike most businesses, they hold the data of many companies and individuals. 27% of law firms now acknowledge that they have been breached. Ethics rules require that lawyers take “reasonable” steps to protect their confidential data. But what’s reasonable? That changes over time.
Our experts will offer the most current advice on how you can shore up your defenses, identifying specific budget-friendly steps you can take.
The tips will include:
- Employee security awareness training
- Use of multi-factor authentication
- The importance of checklists for out-processing employees
- The duty to monitor for data breaches and how to comply with that duty
- How to protect against ransomware and Business Email Compromise attacks
- The role of cyber insurance . . . and much more!
