Description

Even though women outnumber men in law schools, the ABA’s 10-year look at lawyer demographic trends shows that only 37% of lawyers are female. In a 2021 ALPS Insurance survey of women attorneys, over 1/3 of respondents reported they were “dissatisfied” or “very dissatisfied” with their work/life balance. It seems there is a disconnect between the number of women in law schools and the number of women who enter (or remain) in the legal profession. That’s bad news for business and not a good indicator for the current culture of law practice. Prioritizing diversity and inclusion in law firms is a proven means of increasing innovation, attracting new clients, and building a stronger brand for your law firm. Learn how to improve diversity and inclusion within your firm and reduce barriers for women in the workplace in this 1-hour CLE.
